Sharing a Code of Ethics

We have clearly defined the behaviors and principles that guide all those who work on behalf of the L&S Group. These principles and rules, along with the additional guidance provided by the adopted and periodically updated Sustainability Policies, drive the sustainable success of the Group, contributing to the creation of shared value in the long term.

Building a Sustainable Work Environment

At the facility level, we have installed a photovoltaic panel system that allows us to have production departments using only self-produced energy from renewable sources. We also purchase renewable electricity or certificates of guaranteed origin (GO). In parallel, we have obtained ISO 14001 certification for our production sites and our headquarters in Germany.

High-efficiency LED strips

We have focused on improving the core product of the group: the development of the new generation of high-efficiency LED strips allows for energy savings of up to about 50% compared to the previous generation, and it has led to improvements in terms of design, LED strip structure design, and packaging made of recycled cardboard.

Building Value Relationships. We value a sustainability approach in the Partnerships with our Supplier

We commit to promoting in all activities the adoption of a supplier management mode that, in addition to current regulations, takes into account the values expressed in our Ethical Code, the guidance provided by Sustainability Policies, and, in general, all aspects necessary for the responsible sourcing process, such as human and labor rights, health and safety, environment, animal welfare, product and service quality and integrity, and protection of privacy and intellectual property.

  • Thorough and scrupulous evaluation process: the selection process of suppliers of goods and services requires alignment with the expressed principles. Suppliers are selected through transparent and objective assessments of professionalism and entrepreneurial structure, taking into account the quality, price, and supply methods of goods or services.
  • Ongoing monitoring: we conduct periodic self-assessments to ensure that business partners, both direct and at least of the next level, comply with this Code, with periodic checks, including through questionnaires and possible site visits, to ascertain and verify that our current or potential business partners meet the requirements established in this Code.

Lights On People

We create well-being for the individual using light, develop products that integrate in support of other projects. It becomes identity to have a vision that integrates knowledge, visions, training - "We are relations" - and that lays the foundation for a commitment to social responsibility towards the territory and stakeholder communities.

Our human resources enhancement program has achieved a goal with the creation of the L&S Experience area at our Headquarters: a dedicated place for meeting, exchange, sharing, and knowledge generation, a lively and open space in continuous evolution to cultivate and nourish the knowledge of L&S, how we develop new product ideas, and how "we make light." The Experience space represents three key dirvers: People, the reception area, to open up to the territory with schools, cultural institutions, professionals, leading to collaboration with the University of Design; Lab, the product ecosystem; Academy, the training aerea.

Open Innovation Processes. Commitment to theFuture of the Territory

We enhance open innovation policies, with tangible signs in the territory, collaborations between public and private, institutions, and territory, to create a visionary project and support the growing demand for specialized high education in the Made in Italy and Design sector.

  • Systemic design approach with increasingly close collaboration with the ISIA University of Product Design (Higher Institute for Artistic Industries) in Rome and Pordenone, an excellence stakeholder in design, education, and communication. The goal is to create a strong connection between teaching, experimentation, advanced training, and support for research and innovation at L&S.
  • Support the Pordenone Design Week for over 4 years: a splendid collaboration opportunity with the young: every year, twenty young industrial designers, five days of full-immersion workshops, a design challenge, which has involved the development of various concepts such as the Sign system and the new Experience Centre area.
  • Support the two-year Product Design course at ISIA Rome in Pordenone: commitment to the future of the territory and exploration of product innovation paths.
  • Involvement of universities on specific topics. Collaboration with the Engineering Faculty of Padua: we give space to young people, giving them the opportunity to enter the company for experience, involving universities on specific topics to develop together. For example: redesigning workstations and the production process in a digital perspective to improve efficiency, usability, and data control. This training and experience have allowed us to improve component management and reduce usage.
