On September 8, ahead of our 20th anniversary on September 14, the L&S China team celebrated this milestone at our Shanghai HQs. It is an occasion that means a great deal to all of us at L&S Group, because it is first and foremost a story about people: those who opened this chapter in 2006 and those who, year after year, have written it together with us.

Looking back at where we started, reconnecting with memories from along the way, and building something together for the future: the celebration brought different generations of the L&S China team together for one shared moment.

A story written year after year

When L&S China started in 2006, there was no model to follow — just a team ready to build and learn. One project at a time, one great team. For the occasion, the entrance of our site was set up with a series of panels retracing this story: photographs, the construction plans of the plant, the first products to leave the Shanghai lines, and the milestones that took L&S China from a manufacturing base to a project partner.

Behind 20 years of light, there are people

At the heart of the installation stood a tree printed on one of our lighting panels, its roots in full view: a symbol of where we started in 2006. We wanted to express the spirit of these twenty years through everyone's hands: one by one, colleagues dipped their hands in color and left their mark on the tree — each handprint a person, a moment, a piece of this story. The roots represent where we started. The leaves, everyone who has helped L&S China grow over these twenty years.

Postbox to 2036: we bring our passion into the future

Sharing ideas and wishes together is part of building strong roots for a bright future. Next to the tree, a red postbox with a single destination: 2036. We asked every member of the team to write a message to be opened ten years from now — words that carry today's story into the next chapter.

These twenty years have given us a deep understanding of the market and, above all, real relationships, built day after day. Our thanks go first of all to the people: to those who made the September 8 celebration possible, and to all the colleagues, customers and partners who have been part of this journey together.

Light is where we start; the next chapter will be about continuing to innovate and creating new opportunities, together with those who share this path with us.
