At Salone del Mobile and among the Fuorisalone showrooms in downtown Milan, our lighting solutions illuminated the projects of leading design brands - integrated into the furniture, invisible in form, essential in the perception of space. The concept of this edition, "A Matter of Salone," spoke directly to us.
Light as an extension of matter
If matter is the starting point of design, light is its natural complement, becoming a determining factor in the perception of spaces and the elements that compose them. Surfaces, finishes and textures find their expressive language in light: it is through lighting that the project is translated into experience, defining visual comfort, atmosphere and quality of living.
It is in this relationship between light and matter that L&S's approach fits, with solutions designed to enhance furniture in a precise and integrated way.
From the kitchen to the living room: light that unites spaces
EuroCucina 2026 confirmed a transformation that is now structural: the kitchen is no longer a closed and purely technical environment, but opens up to the living room, dialogues with the outdoors, and becomes a place of conviviality and daily well-being. On display are increasingly integrated systems, interactive surfaces and intelligent and silent solutions designed to adapt to people's rhythms.
In this scenario, light becomes a connective element. In open-plan environments-where there is no longer a clear boundary between kitchen and living room-lighting accompanies the transition between zones in a fluid, coherent, invisible way.
This is where solutions such as Hi Line (iF Design Award 2025), our electrified boiserie structure that both illuminates and furnishes together, acting as a link between light, design and functionality, fit in. A system that can be accessorized with elegant shelves and cabinets, capable of inhabiting indifferently the kitchen, the living room or the connecting space between the two.
Another solution that finds a habitat in the kitchen, living room, up to the sleeping area and bathroom is Sign, the light bar with modules with soft geometries and a contemporary profile, which divides the space with a beam of light, becoming a furnishing element in all respects.
Visibly Invisible: integrate light, enhance design
The Visibly Invisible design principle translates into systems that are fully integrated into the furniture, capable of enhancing shapes, volumes and materials without altering the aesthetics, guaranteeing uniformity of light and visual comfort, and adapting precisely to different applications-from the kitchen to the living room, to the sleeping area and bathroom. From wall units to drawers, from baseboards to handles: light becomes an element invisible to the eye, but essential in the overall perception of space. Light is the way matter comes to life.
Smart lighting: simplicity and integration
Among the trends that emerged during Design Week, a clear pattern asserts itself: increasingly advanced technology designed to be immediate in use. In this context, L&S develops lighting control systems that ensure intuitive interaction and natural integration into living spaces.
The Mec Lite drivers are a concrete example of this: designed to offer flexibility and ease of integration, they are compatible with the main protocols-Matter, Zigbee, DALI and Casambi-ensuring advanced, reliable light management consistent with design requirements.
Sustainability and quality of living
Well-being and quality of living also come from the responsibility with which we design. Kitchen and bathroom are today the rooms that best reflect the level of evolution of a home in terms of consumption, ergonomics and overall quality.
L&S solutions are born with a concrete focus on energy efficiency: high-performance LED systems, intelligent light management to optimize consumption, and products designed to ensure durability.
Light contributes directly to living comfort: it regulates mood, accompanies the rhythms of the day, and transforms a functional space into an environment designed for daily well-being.
Our reflection
The concept "A Matter of Salone" finds a clear application in our design approach: transforming matter into experience through light.
Our integrated lighting solutions combine design, elegance and ease of installation, with a high level of customization that precisely matches our clients' furniture and designs. Each system is developed to meet design requirements in a timely manner, down to the most bespoke solutions.
Light is the added value that transforms a piece of furniture into an emotion and a space into an experience.
We make your projects shine.
